HOW TO APPLY

Applications for the 2021 Summer School will be open soon. We ask you to apply online please. 

By submitting this form, you consent to NLMS collecting your names, contact details and payment history. Your data will be used only to contact you about the Society’s administration and activities, and we will never share them. You may see and update your data, or request their erasure or restricted use at any time by contacting the Administrator.

We have to make a commitment to our venue, Downe House School, of a minimum attendance by 1 February 2021.  It will help us greatly to plan the best possible offering if you can make your application before that date.

Demand for most courses is high, so please plan to apply early, and in any case no later than 30 June 2021.

FIRST TIME ATTENDEES

When you use the online application form, please be ready to provide the following information, which will help us to allocate you to the most appropriate course:

Instrumentalists

  • Main instrument
  • Orchestral experience and position in orchestra
  • Is your sight-reading considered average/good/very good?
  • Additional (and doubling) instruments played and standard.

Choir

  • Voice
  • List of choirs with which you have sung
  • Details of your musical background.

2021 COURSE FEES (to be confirmed)

The fees listed below were those for 2020.  We are waiting to hear from Downe House School about its fees for 2021, and will update the fee table below as soon as we can.

PAYMENT

Applications should be accompanied by a £75 deposit per person and full fees must be paid by 30 June, 2021. Payment should preferably be made by bank transfer:

REFUND POLICY

Please note that deposits are not refundable, except to those whom the Summer School cannot accept. Half fees will be refunded for cancellations received by 1 July 2021. After that date no fees are refundable, EVEN IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND. You are therefore advised to take out a holiday insurance for the week.
